Meet Abby
Abby is a somatic educator and practitioner, and a soul explorer. She is a first-generation Asian American, and founder of Soma Institute, a provider of somatic education and coaching to individuals to access whole system intelligence.
Soma Institute shares foundational knowledge about body intelligence, trauma, and embodied cognition, incorporating leading-edge psychiatry, neuroscience, and somatics fields.
Abby came to the world of body intelligence from her explorations in mindfulness, mindful movement, and somatic therapy. Health injuries and challenges led her to look and listen more deeply to her body. The tools and learnings have led to deeper personal well-being, health, and creativity.
Abby began her career in finance and consulting. She also consulted for the American Psychiatric Association Foundation, Center for Workplace Mental Health on leadership communications and millennial well-being.
